You can start your smile transformation the same day as your initial orthodontic exam! Whether you choose traditional metal braces, clear ceramic braces, or Invisalign® clear aligners, our team can help you get started on your treatment during your complimentary consultation.
If you choose traditional braces or ceramic braces, you’ll be able to leave your first visit with braces on your teeth! For Invisalign, it’ll work a bit differently. You’ll be able to get your initial impressions taken, using our iTero digital scanner. Your aligners have to be custom-made and 3-D printed, so these will need to be created before you can wear your first set.

How to Prepare for Same Day Braces
Before your visit, there are certain requirements you’ll need to fulfill to be a good candidate for same-day braces.
- Schedule your complimentary exam with us in Wetumpka, Montgomery or Millbrook
- Complete your x-rays and diagnostic photos with Dr. Dunn or Dr. Scheiber
- Received a professional dental cleaning within six months prior to you visiting us
- Come prepared with a form of payment and your insurance information from our payment and insurance options.
It’s simple, really! As long as you come prepared when you visit us, and you’ve visited your dentist in the past 6 months, we’re excited to get started. (Your dental cleaning is important because we want to ensure that your gums and teeth are in a healthy condition when we place your braces on. This is how we get the best results!)
Your Free Exam
When you visit us for your complimentary exam, our team will greet you with a big ole grin!
During your exam, either of our experienced orthodontists, Dr. Dunn or Dr. Scheiber, will thoroughly examine your smile, assessing your bite position, bite alignment, tooth positions, and tooth alignment. We’ll discuss any symptoms related to your smile that you may be experiencing.
We’ll take a few diagnostic snapshots and x-rays of your smile that enable us to create a personalized treatment plan for you. We’ll discuss the expected length of treatment, how often you’ll visit us for check-ups, and what you can expect with your new braces or Invisalign.
Once you understand the details of your customized treatment plan and we’ve taken impressions, we’ll place your braces on or send your impressions off for your Invisalign to be custom-made!
