The Invisalign Process
Invisalign aligners essentially work the same way traditional braces do—they apply gentle, persistent pressure on the teeth to gradually shift them into alignment.
We use the advanced iTero digital scanning system to produce accurate, precise impressions of your smile. Either of our amazing orthodontists, Dr. Dunn and Dr. Schreiber, will use these impressions to design a treatment plan, personalized to your smile.
For each stage of Invisalign treatment, two Invisalign aligners will be created for you—one to fit your top teeth and one to fit the bottom. You will wear this first set of aligners for a minimum of 20 hours per day, for one week. After a week, you’ll move on to the next set of custom-designed aligners in the series. Each new set of aligners will be custom-designed with precision to accommodate your new teeth position, with the exact amount of pressure needed to continue shifting your teeth to the desired position.
The length of your treatment period and the amount of time you wear each set after the first week will depend entirely on your custom treatment plan.
